How to transfer contacts between phones?
iPhone to iPhone
You can transfer your contacts between handsets using iTunes. You'll simply need the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer.
- Open iTunes
- Connect your new iPhone to your computer
- Select Sync contacts
- Sync your iPhone.
Android to Android
Transferring to an Android device
Google Sync is enabled by default on Android devices so your contacts should become available on your Android device shortly after the Google sync has completed.
If the contacts don't automatically appear, head to Settings > Accounts > Google where you will be able to activate Google Sync on your device.
iPhone to Android or Android to iPhone
You can transfer your contacts between handsets using Google Sync or Gmail Sync and iTunes. You'll simply need an existing Gmail or Google account and the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer.
Syncing contacts from your iPhone to Gmail via iTunes
- Open iTunes
- Connect your iPhone to your computer
- Click the Summary Tab If you're using iCloud to sync & backup change the setting to Use your computer
- Click the Info tab
- Select Sync contacts
- Select either Google Contacts or Google Address Book Contacts Enter your Google/ Gmail username and password.
- Click OK
- Sync your iPhone
